The installation method for terminal HEPA filter box is as follows:
1. Preparation: Ensure the construction site is clean and tidy, free from dust. Check that the high-efficiency air diffuser equipment and accessories are complete, including the air diffuser panel, filters, sealant, etc. Prepare the installation tools, such as screwdrivers, electric drills, spirit levels, etc.
2. Measurement and Positioning: Based on the design drawings and actual site conditions, determine the installation location of the high-efficiency air diffuser and measure and position it using a spirit level. Ensure that the installation location is flat and free from obstacles, considering factors such as indoor airflow organization and personnel flow.
3. Ceiling Hole Opening: Mark and cut a hole in the corresponding position of the clean room ceiling according to the size of the Terminal HEPA housings. Typically, the hole should be 10mm larger in length and width than the box dimensions.
4. Box Hoisting and Installation: Lift the box into the hole in the ceiling, install the lifting ears, and secure them to the threaded rods or hooks above the ceiling. Adjust the height of the box to align the lower flange of the box with the ceiling.
5. Sealing: Ensure that sealant is applied to the joint between the lower flange of the box and the clean room ceiling to prevent gas leakage.
6. Insulation: If insulation cotton is provided for the high-efficiency air diffuser, fill the gap between the box and the ceiling with insulation material to prevent condensation on the box.
7. Connecting the Duct and Box Interface: Connect the air duct to the inlet interface of the box. If using a square external flange interface, drill holes along the external flange of the inlet and use bolts and nuts to connect it to the duct flange, filling the connection with sealing material. For a circular inlet interface, use a circular clamp to tighten the flexible duct to the box interface. If the inlet interface of the box is connected on the side, connect and fix the inlet interface to the box using self-tapping bolts or rivets.
8. Installing the Airflow Regulating Valve: If ordered with an airflow regulating valve, install it before connecting the duct to the high-efficiency air diffuser box. Connect the valve to the inlet hole of the box using self-tapping bolts or rivets, fill the connection with sealing material, and apply glue around the perimeter. The valve opening should align with the box opening. If the diffuser does not include a regulating valve, the valve can be installed at the interface between the main duct and branch duct.
9. Installing the Air Filter: Before installing the high-efficiency(HEPA) filter, clean the box and perform a pre-purge to prevent dust contamination of the filter and prolong its lifespan. Rotate the filter pressure block in the box to an angle parallel to the corresponding frame (as shown in the installation diagram), and install the filter centrally in the box (with the sealing gasket facing upwards and in contact with the box). Pull the filter pressure block down to the end of the internal threaded rod in the box, rotate it to an angle perpendicular to the corresponding frame (as shown in the installation diagram), and then tighten the pressure blocks around it. Check that the torque of each pressure block nut is similar. If there is obvious looseness or tightness, make adjustments to prevent filter frame leakage.
10. Installing the Diffuser Panel: The cleaning of the diffuser panel should be handled by the responsible person. As the general diffuser panel is not wiped down before leaving the factory, it should be washed with detergent water before installation to remove oil and dust. Rinse it with tap water, dry it with a lint-free cloth, and store it in a clean environment for future use. If leakage detection in the gap between the filter and its surroundings is not required, the wiped-clean high-efficiency air diffuser panel can be installed. If leakage inspection is required, install the diffuser panel after inspection and approval. Place the diffuser panel over the box and connect it to the box using flat-head bolts. When installing the diffuser panel, it is best to align it with the high-efficiency filter to ensure consistent gaps around the perimeter to prevent over-tightening of the bolts.
