Compact, High‑Efficiency AMC Filtration for Cleanroom Ceilings
The DSX FFU Chemical Filter is a purpose‑built air treatment unit designed for installation inside fan filter units (FFUs) in cleanroom ceilings. It delivers targeted removal of acidic gases, alkaline compounds, condensable VOCs, and dopants – the four major categories of airborne molecular contamination (AMC) that threaten semiconductor yield, pharmaceutical purity, and laboratory accuracy.
Manufactured in our state‑of‑the‑art facility with over 20 years of chemical filtration expertise, this filter combines high adsorptive capacity with low airflow resistance, making it an ideal solution for continuous, energy‑efficient cleanroom operation.
Our FFU chemical filter is effective against a wide spectrum of pollutants, including:
| Category | Examples of Removed Gases/Vapors |
|---|---|
| Acids | Hydrogen cyanide (HCN), hydrofluoric acid (HF), nitric acid (HNO₃), phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄), sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄), acetic acid, nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), sulfur dioxide (SO₂) |
| Bases (Alkalis) | Ammonia (NH₃), N‑methyl‑2‑pyrrolidone (NMP), amines |
| Condensables | Acetone, toluene, siloxanes, plasticizers |
| Dopants | Boric acid, phosphorus compounds, arsenic compounds |
We customize the filter media blend to match your specific pollutant profile, ensuring maximum removal efficiency for your unique environment.
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Advanced Media Formulation | High‑capacity adsorbents (activated carbon, ion‑exchange resins, chemisorbent blends) capture both polar and non‑polar contaminants. |
| Low Pressure Drop | Optimized pleat design minimizes fan energy consumption – critical for FFU systems. |
| Modular & Lightweight | Standard sizes fit most FFU housings; easy drop‑in replacement without tools. |
| Customizable Dimensions & Media | Tailored to your FFU model and specific pollutant challenge – contact us for a bespoke solution. |
| Reliable Sealing | Chemical‑free EPDM gaskets and PU sealants eliminate outgassing, ensuring zero cross‑contamination. |
| Long Service Life | High adsorption capacity reduces change‑out frequency, lowering total cost of ownership (TCO). |
| Sturdy Construction | Corrosion‑resistant frame materials (galvanized steel or SS304) withstand harsh cleanroom chemicals. |
Semiconductor & electronics fabs (photolithography, etching, diffusion areas)
Pharmaceutical & biotech cleanrooms (sterile filling, R&D labs)
Hospital operating theatres & isolation wards

Dynamic Adsorption of DSX Filters for Various Gases
853(2750) filter material - to remove volatile organic compounds, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, sulfur oxide. This filter material is the most effective for removing volatile organic compounds, and it also has a considerable capacity for common outdoor pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, sulfur oxide. This filter material is also very effective in removing boron.
875(2751) filter material - used to remove acids such as hydrogen fluoride, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. This filter material is also very effective in removing sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, and hydrogen sulfide (better filtration effect than 853 filter material).
Both 147 and 875 media can also remove VOCs.However, the capacity (service life) is reducedto 1/2 as compared to 853 media.

These results can be compared by determining the amount of gas,in parts per billion(ppb).adsorbed in the media over the time period measured and expressing the result inppb-hours.Good performance would be found when much of the gas is adsorbed overlong time periods.

Pressure Drop of Competitive Pleated Filters
The pressure drop of DSX filter is lower than that of the filter from Company A.

Comparison of the adsorption capacity of DSX chemical filter and Company B's filter for hydrogen sulfide. The DSX chemical filter has better absorption capacity and efficiency compared to Company B's filter.

The DSX chemical filter has good efficiency for nitrogen dioxide, acetone, hydrogen chloride, and glutaraldehyde.
